The A-Z of Ministering by Duncan Horne
Ministering describes the collective and organised effort in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where members keep in regular contact with one another to offer spiritual support and welfare assistance

There may be times when someone is responsive to calls or texts, or send very short replies like "ok" which seem to say "I'm not interested!" You may have already experienced this.
Ministering in such circumstances can be discouraging.
But "ok" is not always a bad thing; it doesn't always mean the worst; we shouldn't feel down at a lack of conversation.
Some people may not welcome our ministering efforts, some people may just temporarily need a little space, others might just be really busy with their lives.
We can be flexible in the frequency of contact in cases such as these. But while we may reduce the amount of contact, we should never give up!
Always have that person in your thoughts, be prayerful, and seek for guidance from the Holy Spirit for the best way to minister.
People change.
Life changes.
Needs arise.
Doors open.
Never, ever give up!
