Fort Lauderdale Florida & Fort Collins Colorado Temples

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints builds temples all around the world where faithful members go to learn more of Jesus Christ and his plan, receive ordinances for themselves, and perform vicarious work for their deceased ancestors. These temples are beautifully constructed both inside and out. They are designed to direct our thoughts heavenward and seal families together for eternity. The redemptive work that is performed here is not to be found anywhere else on the earth. All people are invited to experience for themselves the grandeur and blessings of temple work by qualifying themselves to enter the House of the Lord.  In the meantime, I'll be taking you through the A to Z of our temples.

One of the things members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints do in temples is act as proxy to perform baptisms for their ancestors. Church members are encouraged to research their own family history and identify deceased family members who didn't receive the ordinances of the gospel. Members may take these names to the temple and perform these ordinances vicariously in their behalf. I have participated in this ordinance and had the most wonderful spiritual experiences doing this work.

"Else what shall they do which are baptised for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptised for the dead?"
(1 Corinthians 15:29)

  4. Such lovely buildings! We were in Fort Lauderdale last year, but I can't recall seeing this temple. Then, we just spent the night there so we could catch an early plane back home so didn't have time for seeing sights.

  5. Hey Lee, thanks for dropping by again. I am not sure how many people's list of sights such a temple would be on, but its peace and tranquility can be felt when you are there
