"Ministering" during April 2022

For many years previously, I have participated in an online blogging event called the "A-Z April Blogging Challenge." I have done this with great excitement on many of my blogs dedicated to different topics.

This April, I'll be creating 26 simple posts throughout the month on the topic of "Ministering."

Ministering may mean slightly different things to different Christians, from a leader preaching sermons, to counselling, to normal everyday people reaching out to others with gospel messages.

I'll be going through an A-Z of ministering from a Latter-day Saint perspective, a duty delivered to us by a living prophet of God as a way to watch over and look after the church as Jesus himself would do if he were here among us.

To me, ministering seems particularly important now that we are living in a world mightily different to just a couple of years ago before the covid pandemic wreaked chaos worldwide. Through numerous lockdowns, quarantines, a period of prohibited social gatherings and vaccinations, people need connection now more than ever.

As an Elders Quorum President in my home branch of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I'll share doctrine, tips and encouragement on how we can minister to others effectively. I sure hope you'll enjoy it!
